Like other countries in this part of the world Homosexuality in Egypt is discreet. No one talks about it but up to 50% of Egyptian men have some experience of it.

 Egypt is made up of 90% Muslims and the rest between Coptic Orthodox and Catholics. The laws in the country follow the French system apart from marriage.

Homosexuality is accepted between Egyptians but no one speak about it so its not open like Europe and the police can use prostitution laws against gay men ( Only if in severe cases).

1- Alexandria :(RECOMENDED) 

The Most popular city between Arab Gay men.Is located 225 Km north of Cairo at the Mediterranean sea and has about 5 million citizens living there.( can be reached by EGYPTAIR , BRITISH AIRWAYS , ALITALIA OR OLYMPIC AIRWAYS. or by Train from Cairo (02:30 hrs) ) you can find gay men in each corner in Alexandria  24 hrs a day  & most important places are the Cruising area's and cruising cafe's.( VERY NICE CITY TO VISIT) 

1- Amon Hotel & Disco : just behind Hotel Cecil Sofitel in the center of Alexandria ( Raml Station ) this hotel has a Disco and starts at 10:00 p.m. it is full of gay men specially at the weekend ( Thursday & Friday ) , lots of fun and men belly dancers.

2- Al Togaria ( Commerce ) cafe : at the Cornish street at the same side of Cecil Sofitel Hotel ( center ) cruising starts from 12:00 noon up to 03:00 a.m. specially at weekends.

3- Cairo Bus Station Cafe : just at the left side of Cecil Sofitel Hotel entrance , same as AL Togaria cafe.

4- All cafe's at Raml Square (end of Tram Station) as well the Tram Station itself specially at night lots of cruising going on, also during the day specially the Public toilets there.

5- Cornish Street near Raml Square , cruising also with cars at night.

6- Stanley area at the side of the see ( specially at night ) also with cars.

 

Cairo : 

Very crowded city and huge ,about 17 million citizens. Actually you can cruise or get cruised everywhere in Cairo but here we will mention the most important places:

1- The Tavern Bar : Nile Hilton Hotel ( Mid Town ) at night specially weekends ( Thursday night ) full of gay men all types from 10:00 p.m. 

2- The Harris bar : Marriott Hotel , Zamalek area ( center ) at night mixed with straight people.

3- Pharos Hotel & Disco : in Giza area ( cross the Nile ) near Cairo Sheraton , Gay Friendly and the Disco is full of gays.( weekend .

4- Nile Hilton Sauna & Fitness center : Lots of gay acts going on there.

Cruising area's 

1- The Tahrir Square & Gardens ( front Nile Hilton ) at night (AYOR).

2- Kasr El Nile Street & Talat Harb Street , City Center, just walk and see !! specially from 6:00 p.m. till 12:00 midnight.

3- Cairo central station ( Ramsis Station ) & the Bus stop front of the station ( very popular ) 24 hrs a day . (AYOR)

4- El  Fishawi cafe  in Old Cairo ( Khan El Khallily Bazaar ) specially at night after 9:00 pm. as well the whole Bazaar area.( the whole week ) 

5- The Egyptian Museum : inside the museum lot of solders working there and they do sex for money ( about US $ 01.00 ) ( AYOR).

Luxor City : 

Luxor is an open air museum south of Egypt, you can reach there by train or by flight.

Places : 

1- Etap Mercure Hotel : All the bars & the Disco belongs to the hotel.

2- New Winter Hotel : The Lounge bar.( gay friendly )

Cruising area : 

All the street apparel to the Nile specially the area near Luxor temple ( city center ) Cornish street.

Esna , Edfu :

if you are on board of one of the Nile Cruises , try to go to the shopping area in Esna or Edfu and just walk there , the owners of the shops will try to sell you anything just to bring you inside ( if it is not busy ) they will close the shop and you can have real fun.

Aswan City : 

At night they young guys will ask you to go for a sail with their Felucca ( sailing boats ) that means fun and normally they charge about L.E. 20.00 about $ 6.00.

The cafe's front of Aswan central station ( mixed public ) , gay guys will try to come and speak with you. give it a chance!!!! ( safe ).
