The Class 121 DMU is pictured next to the station building at Maud Junction. This side of the station was for Fraserburgh trains, to the left were the two platforms for Peterhead. By the time of this tour the section to Peterhead had been lifted (in 1970) and only the line to Fraserburgh, plus the goods yard (seen in the background) survived.
Today the station building still stands and is home to the Maud Railway Museum, which has many artifacts from the railway. The tracks of course were lifted in 1979.
