In 1979 a Class 47 (looking freshly painted or cleaned!) is seen at Ferryhill with a number of other diesel locomotives, including classes 25,26 and 37. Note the rear end of the blue wagon parked on one of the sidings next to the shed. Could this be LMS-Designed General Utility Van (GUV) No. 37909, the Ferryhill Depot Spares Vehicle, which is now preserved on the Royal Deeside Railway?
