Taken on an open day this picture shows Aberdeen Ferryhill MPD as it was in the late 1970s / early 1980s. The shed has been cut back from its original size - the sidings on the right-hand side of the building were once roofed over. Note also that only a small portion of the shed is actually given over to locomotives - a number of the road openings are bricked over.
