Ferryhill's 70 foot Cowans Sheldon turntable dates from the days of steam locomotives, and surprisingly survives today. This photo shows the derelict remains of Aberdeen Ferryhill Shed which was demolished in 1993 - the former diesel loco fuelling point can be seen as well (it's the corrugated steel shed).
