This photo shows the former Dyce Junction station, as seen from a train on the Aberdeen-Inverness line during the period 1968-1984, when the station was closed to passengers. The buildings in the distance are the buildings on the former Formartine & Buchan Railway east platform, these survive in private use today whilst the buildings in the centre on the then island platform were later demolished.
