A view of the inside of Inverurie Signal Box in the summer of 1973, showing the lever frame which had been vastly cut down over the years from its original number of levers. Levers painted white are spare, so there is obviously still rationalisation going on at the time this picture is being taken. Through the window can be seen the formation of the branch line to Oldmeldrum, which ran parallel to the mainline for some distance.
