A view from Inverurie Signal Box towards Inverurie Station. The bay platform for trains to Oldmeldrum is clearly visible on the left, and the buildings on this platform can be seen in the distance. The edge of the bay platform still survives, although the vacant bay platform trackbed visible here has been incorporated into a nearby garden centre site. The buildings and canopies have also been severely cut back at Inverurie, there are now no buildings or canopies on platform 2 (the opposite face of which was the Oldmeldrum bay platform) and only a small canopy on platform one.
