Comments: Johnny Horton has been my favorite singer since The Battle of New Orleans hit the radio. I was only about nine at the time. I also remember the day I heard that he died. I really felt bad and thought about all the songs he would never be singing in the future. A couple of years ago I discovered some CD's being released that has all the songs he has ever sung. Some are only songs of just him and a guitar but I cherish every one of them. In my book he was one of the greatest.
