Team Demise is down but not out - The Solution
What's this? Another sudden update? Wow! Who would've thought it. Yeah we know,
its only been a few months since the last update (joke). Hey, at least its not
as bad as most sites out there that haven't been updated since 2005! Anyway, were back however with some rather bad news
mixed in with some good news. First the bad news since we want to get the BS out
of the way. Here is the story. As you all might know, Fallen (our Vavoom based
project) as been in development for like forever so I decided to get some work
done on it ASAP. One fateful morning my PC suffered an extreme virus attack (not
my fault btw), so I had to do an emergency reformat and reinstall Windows XP.
During this virus attack, my files were corrupted, I couldn't access curtain
features, and it randomly deleted files on my PC! Basically, everything got
FUBAR. Our Doom files fell victim to all the chaos. All my recent work I had put
into 'Fallen' was for nothing. Now I have to go and search through all my old
CD backup Doom files and dig up the old 'Fallen' build way back when the project
was still in its infancy stage. I thought to myself, you know what? I said,
SCREW THIS! I didn't feel motivated to go back through all the maps and redo
what I had been doing for the last couple of months. So basically since the last
update, we have been going to school, work, and playing some games (Prototype,
RE5, etc). All the work on Doom however, has came to a screeching halt to put it
bluntly. Well, here is the good news like we said earlier. We are not giving up
on Doom entirely, we are going to take a small hiatus from mapping and come back
and reassess what the future brings for Demise and focus on bringing 'Fallen'
back from an early grave.
Well there you have it! All in a nut shell. We will always continue to be
involved in the Doom community for a long time and bring in some more updates
when we have something to announce. Until next time, later!
