I was born in a small East Texas town on September 21.
Before I was born my grandfather, who was sick at the time, described
what I would be like to my mom.
My name, first and middle, according to the Baby Name book means "wisdom
reborn."
My hair is strawberry blonde. When I was younger it was blonde but would
turn red when I got mad.
My eyes are brown, but if you look closely they
look green.
I am adopted.
Because of the work my father did (pipeline construction), we would often
travel with him when he went on his jobs.
There were times when I started school in a different state.
I've been to Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Illinois, Ohio, Wisconsin, West
Virginia, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Florida, Minnesota, North Dakota,
South Dakota, Arkansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, and New Mexico.
I'm a picky eater.
According to my family wouldn't eat at mealtime unless we had french
fries.
They exaggerate when they say that. I wouldn't eat unless there were
french fries OR mashed potatoes.
There are still a lot of foods I won't eat, but my tastes have expanded
since I got married.
When I was six, my favorite muppet was Miss Piggy.
I had a pair of jeans with a Miss Piggy patch on the butt, and I would
go around pretending to be Miss Piggy.
I used to love Show and Tell in school because I would get attention.
Once I pretended to have something for Show and Tell and when it came
time for me to "Show and Tell" I made up a story about me and my sister
chasing off some ghost dogs.
I used to play "school" with my dolls and stuffed animals. I was the
teacher, and my toys were the students. Needless to say, I had straight A
students.
Up until my family stopped going to church when I was twelve, we were
Baptists.
I was baptized when I was ten.
When I was younger I never could make up my mind on what I wanted to be
when I grew up. But I knew I wanted to get married and have kids.
I'm still not sure what I want to be when I grow up.
When I was twelve I decided I wanted to be a writer.
I love to read, and will read anything regardless of whether it is what
would be considered good literature or not.
The first story I wrote was a "girl meets boy, girl falls in love with
boy, girl discovers boy has fallen for her and lives happily ever after"
type story.
I hate trying to write poetry, especially poems that rhyme.
A good deal of the poems I wrote when I was thirteen have to do with
love.
I still write poems about love.
When I was fourteen I sent a poem I wrote to a
poetry contest. It got an honorable
mention, and I was invited to have the poem published in an anthology.
Of course, they wanted me to spend $35 on the book.
I used to play the flute in band.
It was because I was in band that I can appreciate classical music.
I hated my band director and I'm pretty sure she disliked me.
I wasn't very popular in school.
I was voted "Most Bashful Female" in my senior class because I
was easily embarrassed and my face would turn red.
I didn't get my license until I was seventeen, about a month
before I graduated from high school.
My original plan after graduating high school was to go to a jr. college
then transfer to the
University of Texas in
Austin.
I was planning on studying English and History and becoming a teacher.
When registering for my courses, I changed my mind and decided I wanted
to teach elementary school instead.
I dropped out of school twice.
I've always wanted to write trashy romance novels.
I don't consider myself to be very creative.
I tend to obsess over a lot of things.
The first animal I obsessed
over was the unicorn.
The second were pigs.
When I was eighteen my parents told me they'd buy me a pig if I broke up
with my boyfriend.
I ended up getting a miniature daschund and a few weeks later broke up
with the guy.
My favorite animal now is the penguin.
I like most video games, but I'm best at card and puzzle games.
My first computer was a Kaypro II, when that conked out on me, my
parents bought me a Packard Bell.
It took ten years to convince my parents to by me a computer.
It wasn't until I got America Online that I discovered role
playing.
The first night I signed onto AOL, I found myself in one of the role
playing rooms.
My husband and I met online, then met in person.
After we got married, we spent the first nine months of our marriage
living with his parents and sister in Chicago.
I really liked Chicago and would love it if we could move back there.
One of our favorite places to eat there is Taco Burrito King. Their rice
is yummy.
It was hubby who introduced me to anime.
For the longest time I was obsessed with Sailor Moon.
I like to bake sweets, cookies, brownies, etc.
One year for Halloween I dressed up as the Goddess of the Moon.
I like to watch soap operas.
I remember who shot J.R.
For the longest time I would not leave the house without fixing my hair
and putting on make up, now I make sure my face is clean and my hair is
brushed.
I've got two kids, Cory and Lukey.
A few years back I started writing down the things that Cory does,
dubbing them "Coryisms."
I had planned on putting the Coryisms on a website about her, but took
the site down after I stopped making an effort to maintain it.
As a kid I used to spin around and around until I fell down dizzy. I
still enjoy doing this.
I'm allergic to cats.
I hate wearing socks and shoes.
I can't sleep with socks on.
I hate wearing a bra too.
I'm addicted to The Sims.
I'm a pack rat. I save everything.
I think I'm still a kid at heart.
I can't sing at all.
I hate hate hate the people who drive by our house with the bass on
their car stereos so high that it makes the windows rattle.
I've fantasized about taking a shotgun to some of those car stereos.
Sometimes I can be old fashioned.
The Civil War and the period afterwards fascinate me.
I enjoy visiting historic places like houses, plantations, etc. Just to
see how people once lived.
I like watching cartoons.
I like making things.
I hate having my picture taken.
Sometimes I can be self involved.
I bite my nails.
I think some hairy men are sexy.
I think Chewbacca was the most attractive character in Star Wars.
I think Wolverine is sexy too.
I've got a crush on John Cusack.
I like painting my toe nails purple.
When I lose an appropriate amount of weight, I'm going to have my navel
pierced.
I've even considered getting a tattoo.
I've been keeping an online journal for three years.
I'm developing a crush on Kevin Spacey.
I still like Anime.
I've got a crush on several anime/cartoon characters
too.
Sometimes it takes me a while to make up my mind.
This is the most I've written about myself online.
