EDUCATION: MASTER OF ARTS IN LINGUISTICS/TESL

Instructor, Modesto Junior College, August 2000-present.   Computer Laboratory Instructor/Coordinator AND Professor of Speech Communication. My responsibilities include providing faculty level supervision for the Open Computer Labs, assisting with Positive Attendance labs campus-wide, training students and staff in the use of WebCT, and teaching SPCOM 100 & 102. In addition, I currently serve on the Academic Senate, the Curriculum Committee, and the Virtual Classroom Committee.

Adjunct Professor of Communication Studies, Chapman University, January 2002-present.  

Language Development Specialist, C.F. Brown School, March-July, 2001.  

Adjunct Lecturer, Humphreys College (Modesto, CA), September-December, 2000.   Taught Introduction to Literature and Intensive Grammar.

Instructor, Military Language Institute (Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates), August 1998-August 2000.  Responsibilities included using high technology and computers as devices for teaching foreign language, tutoring officers, conducting teacher-training seminars, serving on the Administration Committee, and helping organize the annual Teacher-to-Teacher Conference.

Instructor, Modesto Junior College, August 1995-July 1998.  Taught Arabic Language Through Literature, in addition to various levels of ESL. Regularly used CALL lab for ESL. Also taught Test Preparation and Citizenship. Served on the Celebration of the Humanities Committee.

Instructor, Turlock Adult School, September 1997-June 1998.  Responsibilities included teaching Advanced ESL, using CALL lab, attending workshops, and presenting sample lessons to colleagues.
