This is an illustration of the stereo version of the dish-microphone shown in Fig.1 .
It shows the same frontal and side views of the dish, but this time with a centrally mounted baffle and two microphone capsules instead of one.
The baffle is mounted vertically in the interior of the dish, that is perpendicular to it's base, and in-line with the hand-grip. The exposed edge of the baffle is shaped so that it arcs out from the rim of the dish such that the centre of the arc is well forward of the rim, before curving back to meet it at the other side of the dish.
The microphone capsules are positioned on either side of the dish such that they touch the juction of the baffle, the base of the dish and the dish wall.
