"Ah DUNKIRK! " You see their ads every year in TNS for four months and for what ever reason either you go or you do not. For those of you who do there is usually a pleasant surprise that the little town less than an hour south of Buffalo comes to life when they say "Show Time".

This year, as we experience all to often in Hershey and on Saturday at the Speedway this past April... Rain and cool temperatures put a damper on many of the outside vendor activities at Dunkirk. That is regrettable, but for those of us fortunate enough to be inside, it is not so bad. The well-lit Floral Building on the grounds is the site of the TNS booth and it was heavily traveled by many folks dodging raindrops.

Early on the Friday I got the question we dealers have all come to Love,,, "Do you buy plates too?". Well to make a long story short, a curious fellow vendor showed me the 14 CT above and told me what he had been offered. I upped that a bit and he handed it to me, it is a rather cute cycle and in very good condition I would say, looks good hanging in the computer room here at TNS for now.

Other finds on the Dunkirk trip were at some of the other shows I attended before Dunkirk, and after. Clarence was not at full steam due to the inclement weather, but enough vendors out that I bought some really nice bomber nose art, a fast growing collectible with patriotic vets like myself. I also bought a pair of 58 Farm Truck plates from NY at Clarence.

The Springville show on the Wednesday morning produced a couple of nice military pillow shams and the opportunity to pass out a dozen cards or so, reminding people the show was coming up this weekend in Dunkirk.

TNS appreciates the efforts of show manager Dick Lord to see to our every need while so far from home to do this show... It's 600+ miles North of concord, and if I'm able, I'll be there again next year and the year after, etc...

Good to see many of our readers there, and Welcome Tom Dayton to TNS!!!
