Hershey, The full report via Mike Duff to follow next month...

But here and now we have a picture in a picture to quote modern TV technology. That is our long time friend Steve Newell from Lexington Mass, showing off his detective skills, "when in doubt, ask??? Here in 1200 square feet of empty grass he had come by for our annual visit to find Roger had his own agenda, get out while the getting was good as Steve described it.

I don't know, and never will, what may have happened if I would of stuck it out at Hershey, I had excellent sales the one full day I was open. I was right behind the ALPCA Tent by dumb luck and saw many of our fellow ALPCA/TNS Friends, Don Merrill, Steve Raiche, Mike Duff, Joel Finn, Carl Schwarbler, Brad Luckenbaugh, Dick Yourga, Chuck Sakryd, and many more the 48 hours I was there. But an already soggy field and more rain during the show as well as more predicted gave me a queasy feeling, go.

I'm sorry I missed so many of you this year. When I got to NY long time friend Art Clark told me he was on the field early Friday and it appeared half the vendors had also pulled out, this was echoed by Bob Roughton.

I'm sure the other more stable fields were fine, the usual set up, but I just didn't want to chance it. I was out by 1:30 PM Thursday, the first official day of the show.

Next Month we'll hopefully bring you more observations of your editor but not until the Hershey reporter par-excellence, Mike Duff has had his say.

The photo insert (Picture in a picture above) is a Vermont Vanity Steve found on the front of a Ford truck at Hershey, he queried if the truck might be related to the now famous Big Hoss... I doubt it, there is only one Big Hoss and another 2148 miles hammered on to him via Hershey and Buffalo only has him looking forward to Asheville and Raleigh next month. Hope to see many of you there.

Vol. 20, No. 1 - The Most rewarding thing I have ever done...

There are not the words for me to describe the satisfaction it has given me to be your Editor these past 19 years of publishing TNS. The joys and heartaches, triumphs and disappointments have made for lasting friendships all over the world, and only sharpened my desire to make TNS the place to go for additional advertising from our own great ALPCA Register.

In this issue there is something I have been working on in my head and is the first time I have tried it on paper, a simplified ad form, for those of you who have always been at a loss how to figure and plan an ad, just fill in the blanks, count the total plates, follow the price quotes suggested and send it in.

People can't help you buy or sell if they don't know you, advertising is the best tool you can use. Suggestions to improve this new form are welcome. A larger improved form will be available on the web site at www.tagsnstuff.com  THANKS READERS!!!
