The only remnant of the terminus of the Alford Valley Railway today would appear to be the original two-road engine shed, which still survives alongwith the overgrown turntable pit. The station building was demolished by the local council and replaced with a building modelled on Aviemore, for the Alford Valley Railway Museum. The "new" station is also used by the narrow gauge Alford Valley Railway which run from this site to a nearby park.

Also of interest is a goods van body that can be clearly seen from the main road just to the east of Alford. It's situated on the opposite side of the road to a petrol station and is located on or next to the trackbed of the Alford Valley Railway.
