At Mormond Hill a small halt was provided to serve the local community. The combined station "house" survives in excellent condtion alongwith the single platform which is well preserved. The area around Mormond Station is in cuttings which today can be very wet in winter! Mormond Hill (above the station) is home to a number of military communications arials.
