Keith Town station has seen a lot of development recently. A replica of it's GNSR split-level station building has been
construction and the station is now the terminus of the Keith & Dufftown Railway Association's preserved line from Dufftown.
The station was originally named Earlsmill and was renamed (appropriately) Keith Town in 1897.
An old GNSR distant signal and post still stand at the western end of the station, used to warn trains of the
junction with the
mainline up ahead (the junction has temporarily been lifted though the signal remains).
