my new year's resolution Sunday 12/31/2000 @ 9:52:01 AM PST by ePenguin aim : ___ :: icq : ___ Unlike the last few years, this year I only have one new year's resolution. I am going to cut down on fast-food. Believe it or not, at the start of this year, I weighed about 120 pounds and today I am nearly 140 pounds(im not fat, im just big boned). Now if you do the math, I have gain about 32486435123 pounds this year minus the weight of my clothes. I know its all because of fast-food and no excerise. Seeing that I want to "live" just a bit longer to make other people lives more "enjoyable" I think its best if I just eat less fast-food this up coming year. I don't remember what my resolutions were last year seeing that Mad Ownage is sleeping now(*OH MY GOD* datafox and x2k+1) and I can't search the achrives. I am sure I did not keep any of them unless it was to gain weight then I accomplished that goal without thinking. This year has been a bitter sweet year for me... more bitter only because I tend to remember all the bad things. I am sure the new year will bring more wonderful memories that I will forget right away and more misery that I will remember til the day I die. Best of luck to everyone in 2k+1 and Cheers to all. I had hope it would be good movie but it was crap. I have not seen a good scary/horror/thriller movie in a long time since Blair Witch. I think the problem with horror movies these days is that, "they" try to add too much humor in to the movies. When I watch horror movies, I want them to scare the hell out of me, not make me laugh. There is not much in Dracula 2k that is worth watching except maybe if you are a Seven of Nine(Jeri Ryan) fan. She plays a sluty reporter in the movie and is only on screen for probably less than 10 minutes with about 10 lines. Oh yeah, no nudity. I don't think I will ever think of Jeri Ryan as anyone else except Seven of Nine. I saw(i mean was stupid enough to pay) way too many movies this year, then again what the hell are you going to do in this wack town (as datafox would say). Of all the movies of 2k, the best movie I saw this year was Gladitor and second had to be Fight Club. Best comedy had to be Meet the Parents and second would be Shanghai Noon. The worse movie I saw was Big Mama's House. I still can't believe it made over 100 million dollars. What the hell is wrong with people. Other good movies that I saw were X-men and Scary Movie. Metal Cases And Rubber Floors. But now I am cracking down and writing about this new mouse pad. The pad is made by fUnc industries. They made this mouse pad just for gamers and have thought of the gamer who traveled too. It offers a couple of interesting features not found anywhere else. Like it comes with a metal tin for traveling with, the surface is dual sided with a different feel on each side, there is a rubber base where the surface rests on and there is a mouse cord clip to make sure your cord never gets in your way. The product name is the sUrface 1030. It is their only product and was created just for gamers to use. The metal case look dang nice and is well nice. It is great to see metal. In side the case there is foam where the surface, base and mouse cord clip rest. The base is rubber and very fexible. It has six areas for the mouse clip to go on. My base was colored black however you may have an orange base. The surface itself is blue with orange and white letters. One side is rough like an Everglide pad and the other has a smoother surface. The smoother surface is a fine version of the rough one. When playing RTS games I have played with both sides and with the rough side the mouse seemed to move slower than over on the smooth one but that means it resulted in more accuate pointing and clicking. However on the smooth side my mouse went over very fast and I liked that more for scrolling the screen. On FPS games I liked the rough side for more accuare aiming. But I will let Psy-mon expand more on that. But Rough for that basiclly. I liked the pad but having so many parts is annoying. The surface does not sit well in base if you move it. As it sits it is cool. Also the mouse corld clip comes off easily for me but yea no tangles now. Overall I rather liked the Everglide more than this pad since there are just too many things to account for. But the featurs and the METAL case rocked. For 20 bucks it is a lot. Mousing: 10 out of 10 FreeFrags. Features: 10 Overall: 8. Wednesday 12/20/2000 @ 12:49:19 PM PST by Datafox aim : cheapestchink :: icq : 9567677 :: New RA2 maps from Westwood themselves here: ftp://ftp.westwood.com/pub/ redalert2/freemaps/RA2MAPPACK1.EXE There are 3 maps in this pack and I stole the news from Avault. ohhhhhhhhhh Wednesday 12/20/2000 @ 9:49:30 AM PST by bidnessman aim : ___ :: icq : ___ i just woke up. my friend (we'll call him "adrian") and i drank for my 21st birthday last night. he bought me some absolut mandrin (mandarin/orange flavored vodka) and we had some more friends come over to watch a movie we rented (called "frequency"). they decided not to drink, so "adrian" and i took breaks during the movie to have shots. all together we each had 5. i began losing control of my body at 4. the fifth was the killer. i stood over the sink, getting ready to barf, but i was able to breath deeply and hold it in. then i got knocked out. my throat's really dry right now, and i planned on going back to sleep after getting some water, but i can't fall asleep. on monday, i went to the doctor to check for heart problems (cause it's hurting all the time) and he told me not to worry. that it was just my chest that was hurting, and that it was coincidence that the pain was in the middle of the left side of my body (hey, whaddya know, that's also where my heart is). anyway, i got chest x-rays and he's gonna look at them just to make sure. man, what a fat relief. one of the most thoughtful birthday presents i received was from my aunt. she gave me a baby turtle. it's just a little bigger than a quarter, and i remember she was gonna give me one of hers a month back, but i told her about the water in davis and how i didn't know if i wanted her turtles swimming in that. but she went out and got me my own. and she gave me some turtle food to make sure that i don't feed it what i fed my last turtle, which she claims is what killed it (rice, lettuce, and bread. what's wrong with that?). anyway i wanted to name the turtle, and my mom and my sister told me that the last one was named "turbo." i was like, "turbo? what kind of stupid name is that?" and they were both like "stupid, it was the name of your last turtle." i then responded, "oh okay, heh." so what do you guys think i should name my new turtle? for lack of a better name, i have temporarily named it "turbo 2." and i call it "turby" for short. Like you need to edit a file to change your keys, the use of save points, continuous need to fix the camers, you may only pack one gun at a time. I like that there are combos in it and the action is cool but this game was just not set up for the PC. It was made for the PS2. Not for any PC. Serious Sam crashed my box and screwed up my desktop. It looked nice but not worth blowing up my box over. Swat 3 is cool. I played a Chink cop and killed my own men. I did not get the hang of playing it. But it ran great at 1600x1200 res with high texures. Being a cop to me is dull and I got motion sickness from playing it so I gave up. But things seem to be good on it. The following demos I say DL: Oni (Only if you will get a PS2 or have a mock Dual Shock pad for the PC) and Swat 3. eepnguin promised to do a quick take on a RTS game from Germany named Cossacks.
