If i had a redhat box, i used xjed, which also funtions just like notepad, except it auto-indents and colors code. pretty swank. this year, because i got to write spice and shit for circuits, I use gedit, which (CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?) also functions just like notepad in windows. amazing. gedit's the best. you can actually copy and paste using the mouse. I hope those fag cs machines get gedit eventually, so i can just cut and paste code from other faggots. hah. anyway, I know slade and youtea both can use VI pretty well. The idea of the product is to enable you to glide your mouse more smoothly than before. The skatez are strips of some really slippery stuff, they feel smoother than teflon. "Installation" of the skatez is very simple. You measure the feet of your mice. On my recommendation measure twice and cut once. Then use the enclosed cotton alcohol pad (Not the kind in the bottles so do not bother licking it.) to clean your mouse feet so that there will be no trouble in applying the skatez. I also used the alcohol pad to clean my sUrface 1030 of dirt. So after you are done with the feel cleaning, go clean your mouse area with it. After all of that all you need to do is peel the backing off the skatez and put them on the feet. Since my pads are small and oval-like, I cut off the corners of the skates so that they fit better on the feet. Use: Wow my mouse feels _way_ different now. It almost takes no effort for me to move my mouse now. Playing Starcraft, I move accoss the maps faster now. It makes a big difference for those quick base defense moments. In Quake 3A, I could not handle how fast it moved. So I had to tone down the mouse speed in there. But when the speed went to slower levels I found my self beign able to get a shot back to others quicker. On the desktop I just glide from my folders with no time now and I feel it really helps get more done. Reaction: For RTS games where precise movments are not needed but speed is. These things do well. But for FPS games where accuacy counts I did not find it helped me in that department but I did get to move faster so that I at least get to see the guy who fragged me instead of just seeing a name come up. I feel that if you want more speed out of your mouse and your mouse speed is maxxed out go get these. However if you are comfortable with how your mouse is now and think it needs no improvment you should skip these. To break it down to a quick answer from me: Rating: 7 out of 10 "You are fragged" screens. You can buy the Mouse Skatez at http://www.everglide.com/ for $6.95. Note: I have a MS Intellimouse Explorer which is an optical mouse. I found that the increase speed made my mouse react funny when I was doing twitch movements. My mosue would not be in the correct area I had moved it in. I fixed this with the installation of the Intellipoint utility where I turned off mouse acceleration. Well, at the very very end when there's 2 people left, the producers are going to come out and laugh at both of them and say "haha. there was no mole" bastards. er. Well. I think the best way to figure out who is the mole, is by who got kicked out. For example : Henry got kicked out last time, and my guess is that Henry thought Jennifer was the mole. Seeing as how Henry took the quiz with jennifer in mind and got kicked out, we then know 1) Jennifer is not the mole or 2)henry is a retard. We also know that if Henry was NOT taking the quiz with Jennifer in mind, then he was definetly not Taking it with Charlie in mind, since he had picked charlie to go. It does catch on fire if you leave it on for twenty-four hours. It doesn't freeze up every time Guile tries to jump. But the end of Dreamcast will be here soon. But I'm not bitter. It isn't dead by the way. I'm not expecting my Dreamcast to explode in a month. The Dreamcast will still be around, there just won't be any more games made for it. Saying the Dreamcast is dead is saying like Windows 95 doesn't exist. You can't find it in any store, but millions of people still use it. The Dreamcast will be gone from stores by the end of the year. This surprises no one. What does surprise people is how long it lasted. After an initial launch in 1998, it has lasted into 2001. That's almost three years. Let's see the PS2 last for three years. Bet you won't. I'm betting Sony will be Microsoft's bitch. (I'm not bitter.) Sega has never had it good in the hardware market, ever since their debut in 1983. The Sega Master System, while debatably superior to the Nintendo Entertainment System, didn't have as many A-list games, or licenses as its competition. The Sega Genesis enjoyed a brief stint as number one, due in part to its early release. But the Super Nintendo soon spelled the end of the Genesis. The the Sega CD and 32x didn't help either. The Game Gear looke like it had a chance, but Nintendo proved to have such a hold on the portable gaming market that it still exists to this day. In fact, Nintendo's biggest competition in this market is going to be Nintendo. The Gameboy Advance will soon be competing with the Gameboy Color, and one of the systems will fall. (Gameboy Color.) The Gameboy Advance, with it's power similar to an SNES, will actually have games on it made by Sega, including a Sonic adventure. Sega next came out with the Sega Saturn. It died a quick death, similar to the Sega Master System, due to the lack of A-list games available for the system, or any games for that matter, and considerable competition from the Playstation, which had more games available for it than a cracker factory has saltines. But the Dreamcast came out in 1998, during the middle of the era ruled by the Sony Playstation. Sega did not succeed in dethroning the Playstation. And since the Dreamcast unit itself was sold under cost, with the hopes of software making up the lost revenue, and sales of the games were not high, Sega soon began to hemorage money. But the Dreamcast reamained. It survived for two long years despite rumors of its imminent demise. But earlier this week Sega finally threw in the towel. A new buisness plan was developed, one that did not involve creating hardware. Sega is known for its quality software. And soon it will only be known for its quality software. But rather than be a footnote in the annals of Video Game System History Sega will have its own volume. (Pobably entitled "How Not To Market Good Video Games") Incidently, purchasing a Dreamcast at its new price of $9.99 is not a mistake. There are more GOOD games availble for it than the Playstation. (But so does the Master System.)
