People have always criticized the fans who only show up when the Kings turned good. I like to joke around and say "Who likes to cheer for losers?" But I'm not really sure. I just started liking basketball a few years ago, when the Kings crazy fast breaking started in the shortened lockout season. The Kings' roster has gone through quite a few changes in those few years, but none I've really cared about. Didn't look twice when poor Corliss (Scoreliss?) got shipped off to Toronto for Christie, or when Wennington quietly retired. I kinda missed Delk after the one year I got used to seeing him around, but Phoenix ended up grabbing him. But J-will... Jason Wiliiams, Whiteboy, White Chocolate, #55, the most exciting man in the NBA today. Williams came into the NBA's lockout season as a rejeuvenating factor in what could be seen as a weakened league. In an era of new stars, Jason Williams stood out as an exciting player, some believe only because he was white, but I've always though because he was different. Something about Jason William's passes can't be matched by the Windmill dunks of Carter, or the fade-away spin moves of Kobe. At first people tried to compare his talents to those of the old school, Magic Johnson, Pete (Pistol Pete) Maravich, all of which eventually fell away. They didn't stick because Jason Williams was just plain different, unlike anything in the league before. Williams became known for his crazy inexplicable threes, sometimes up to 6 feet or more behind the line, as well as his great assists and passing. So while his Asst / Turnover ratio was a bit lacking, everyone saw the great potential and held their breath.... Three years later Petrie, Adelman and much of the rest of the league either have to stop holding their breath or end up suffocating. Jason Williams has only seen minutes go down as the Kings battle to become serious contenders in the NBA. Claiming he didn't understand his role, Jason blamed Adelman and others for his performances. J-will has always been like that though. From his days in the small town hiding in the gym from his father, his brother, and the people who spoke nothing but ill of his mother's supposed affair. Jason Williams' sole comfort was basketball. And so he played, and played, and played. And he became quite possibly the best ballhandler in the world. (Hey, the NBA has players from around the world, don't tell me there's some better guy in India somewhere) So J-will wanted more minutes, more chances to do his thing, Adelman and the others wanted to win, to move foward as a team. So he gets to go to Memphis, a team that desperately needs energy to kick start it's franchise in a new town, and Jason Williams, just like three years ago in Sacramento, will be bringing a team, and a town back to life. And he'll get his minutes. In Sacramento? A dependable PG by the name of Mike Bibby will most likely be seen starting this year, in place of the flashy number 55, the one we've come to know and love, though we've also come to know fear when he's around that 26 - 30 ft spot from the basket. So my feelings are mixed. I'm glad Bibby is coming to the Kings, and makes them a better team, but I'm gonna miss J-will. I bag on him a lot, scream at the TV or the Radio (whichever way I'm listening) when he turns it over, or hauls up for another wild three ball, but I'm gonna miss him. Williams takes with him a big part of the "feel" of the Kings I've come to know over the last three years, and another big part of it may be leaving too. Yea, I'm gonna miss Williams. I'm going to miss seeing his big white turban over on the bench, his feet clad in HyperFlights stuck onto the corner of the floor, seeing him and Webber fly airplane motions around each other after a big win, seeing Vlade grab Jason telling him how proud he is of him, and how he knew he could make that layup over John Starks to clinch the game. You'll get what you're looking for in Memphis J-will, I, and thousands of other Kings fans will miss you. Sure, they'll still be the Sacramento Kings. Vlade'll be there, Peja, Hedo, Christie, but Williams... man... Jason Williams won't be. And maybe that other guy with the big 4 on his jersey and the big pearly grin won't either. But they'll still be the Sacramento Kings, my team, from my hometown. Won't they? All Day And The Night? Karting was fun, super fast speeds, bumps, smell of nasty propane instead of gas and being with people. Games should not be about winning. If they all become about that may humanity die. It was fun Youtea and Koopa plus 7 other people gave me a darn fun race around the tracks. I never passed others, I bashed a wall more than once or twice, my legs are sore, my bottom hurt but it was fun. I got to talk with others and get out of the house. I wish more people could have fun. It may very be that I will come pick you up around 2, but just to make sure, be ready by around that time because it takes a while to get to stockton and since I'm the hostess, I would like to get there earlier than the others. You may want to bring some ice packs with you in case you need immediate treatment of your oh-so-precious tushy. One of the comments is about how counter-strike is addicitve because of the ability to go 0:9 then 15:3 and then back to 1:8. You're always trying to get back at that 15:3 high game. And then there's another comment about how quake was addicitive because deaths were not on the scoreboard. No death tally means that you shouldn't be scared to die (except of course if you're losing 14-13 in a 15 frag match). But the death tally on the screen makes people camp so they won't die. AND THAT'S THE FUCKING TRUTH. the only time I care about my deaths is usally when I realize I'm going 9:3 or something really good. Then I start moving non-rambo like and spend most of the time mooching kills. Except in quake. haha. there's the addicited to winning argument, thus making people cheat. and how diablo 2's addiction is "geekfanboy.,.;' my dick is bigger than yours" features. And I got some texturing to show up. so i upload the code to the cs boxes. then i come back home, and download the code. and recompile it here. and it doesn't work. nothing shows up. wtf. Is my voodoo broken? Is my box too slow to store all the texture memory? Wouldn't be surprised. When I try to texture a 64 x 64 image, it shows. the 1024 x 512 doesn't want to. It just shades the sphere normally. which means. I'm fucked. Normally, I can come home and cry in front of my computer from 12 - 4am doing ogl. Now I can only sit at home and cry. fuck.
