The Lunar Cry is a phenomenon occuring at regular interval. The Moon has always been full of monsters, breeding and grouping until they are too much, they they form a living bridge that link them to Earth. While many are destroyed in the falling, thousands of other monsters get on Earth. The animals we once knew are mutated into horrible creatures, and parts of the Earth are completly destroyed.
It is believed that a strange crystal pillar, created by Centra long ago and hidden somewhere, causes the Lunar Cry by producing a strong energy field between the planet and the Moon.
History claims that a the first Lunar Cry destroyed the Centra Empire 122 years ago. Centra wasn't prepare, and everything was destroyed. If it hasn't been of the small amount of people escaping in shelters, our history may have ended there.
The second one occured 22 years ago, but did less damage. As we try to reduce the quantity of monsters on Earth, we already prepare for the cycle to repeat, and for the Lunar Cry to fall again, someday.
