Buscuits
Ingredients
2 c flour
4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
2 tsp sugar
1/2 c butter
2/3 c milk
Doings
Place all dry ingredients in a bowl. Cut in the butter. Make a well, add the mile all at once.
Stir quickly with a fork just until the dough "follows" the fork. Turn onto a lightly floured surface.
Don't look at me that way; just do it. Knead 10-12 times. Place dough to 1/2 inch thick.
Dip the cutter in flour and cut out 16 or so buscuits. Bake at 450 F for 10-12 minutes.
