Scalloped Potatoes
Ingredients
4 potentates (potatoes)
1 or 2 stalks green onion
~2 tbs flour
~2 tbs. buttah, melted
1/2 cup heavy cream
3/4 cup milk
salt
paprika
Doings
Preheat oven to 350 degrees (in the non-metric sense, that is). Thinly
slice the potentates (peel them, if you're that kind of person). Parboil
them for about 8 minutes, until they've lost their harsh, potentate demeanor.
Slice up the green onion into little circles. Grease a 10" baking pan,
put down a 1/3 of the potatoes in an even layer. Sprinke on some of the
flour and about 1/3 of the green onion. Mess about 1/3 of the buttah about.
Repeat until the third layer of potentates is laid down. Heat the cream and milk,
season with salt and paprika. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the potentates
are tender.
Comments
This is quick, cheap, good, and easy. I like that.
On to Cinnamon-Raisin Bread.
