In the name of God, Amen.
I, Mary Katherine Kuhn of the County of Washington and State of Tennessee being advanced in years in critical state of health though of sound mind and memory, knowing the uncertainties of human life constitute the following my last will and testament: (To Wit)
First, I order all my just debts to be paid
Secondly, To my daughter Elizabeth Williams hereafter mentioned
Thirdly (4) To my son Christopher Kuhn hereafter mentioned
Fourthly (5) To my daughter Mary Kuhn hereafter mentioned
Fifthly (3) To my son Jacob Kuhn hereafter mentioned

thly, To my daughter Margaret Rogers hereafter mentioned
Seventhly, To my son John Kuhn hereafter mentioned
Eighthly, To my daughter Katherine Ruble hereafter mentioned
Ninethly, To my daughter Nancy Jones hereafter mentioned
Tenthly, To my son Peter who now lives with me and has labored and improved my farm these several past years I will and bequeath unto him my gray mare and to remain in quiet, peaceable and in full possession of my tract of land and farm with all appurtenances two full years after my death to cultivate and derive all the profits arising therefore from cultivation and during the said two full years after my decease and have two full shares of my personal estate and at the end or termination of the said two years immediately following my decease then my estate and my tract of land where I now live with all its appurtenances to be divided amongst my nine children above named in the following proportions.
To Elizabeth Williams one tenth of my personal and real estate excluding the gray mare above disposed of
To Jacob Kuhn one tenth of my personal red real estate
To Christopher Kuhn one tenth of my personal and real estate
To Mary Kirk one tenth of my personal and real estate
To Margaret Rogers one tenth of my personal and real estate
To Katherine Ruble one tenth of my personal and real estate
To Nancy Jones one tenth of my personal and real estate
To John Kuhn one tenth of my personal and real estate
To my son Peter two-tenths of my personal and real estate as above pointed and clearly be understood my son Peter is to have first and possess the gray mare immediately after my decease and then the remainder of the personal estate to be divided two full years after my decease according to the intent and meaning of the tenth item or clause of the afore going instrument of writing. And I do hereby appoint Jacob Klepper and my son John Kuhn as executors of this my last will and testament and in testimony of the afore going I have set my hand and seal this the twenty second day of May in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and twenty eight.
