Donna Lintern’s
Birthday Poem
Happy Birthday to Donna, our favorite KJ
Who encourages us to sing our way
Yes, She leads us in music and song
Some nights there is quite a throng
But, she keeps the music a comin’
Scrolls the words so we won’t be just hummin’
And if we lose our place
Or can’t keep up with the pace
She’ll slow it down so we don’t have to race
She helped bring our two Posts together,
We’re all friends now, come foul or fair weather.
So we hope that this Birthday’s a good one
And we’re glad she’s with us for some fun.

The Music Man
There is a man who writes his songs
Of love and life and caring
He doesn’t follow some one else
He’s original and daring
He describes life with thoughtful words
Set musically to guitar chords
A sense of humor, right and wrong
Come out in each and every song
Then he sings these pretty words
In a voice so pleasing to the ear
He can make you sad and glad
And remember loved ones dear
Oh Music Man, Oh Music Man
So much beauty there inside you
Thank you so much for sharing it,
For letting the music guide you
Pat Sigo, May 29, 1996, written for Jeff Ashbaker,
because he writes and sings such pretty mush)
Mac
At age 59 Mac played Jockey
He thought it was more fun than hockey
He got on his horse
Ran the full course
But got a hole in his socky
Now that Mac’s a year older
He may live life a bit bolder
When he comes to the bar
After driving sooo far
He’ll now want a beer that is colder
So Happy Birthday to Mac
Yes, it always comes back
To that same old oft-used phrase
But if no one said them
To you on your day of days
You certainly would feel the lack.
Pat Sigo, June 15, 1995, written for Mac on the occasion of his 60th
birthday
HAZEL
Hazel became a bartender
Many a drink does she render
But, be patient, ask nice for your “fizzie”
Or she’ll say, “Can’t you see that I’m busy”?
If Hazel could have but one wish,
She’d set in a boat and just fish
On a lake she would float
And while in the boat,
She’d dream of her catch on a dish.
Hazel just loves to play cards
Poker,
With or without that old joker
She’ll play out the hand
She’ll fold or she’ll stand
And when done, say
“Deal the damn cards”.

Donna’s Good bye Poem
Thank you for the guidance,
The laughter and the song
Your encouragement for good songs
And understanding for the wrong
We’ll miss your cheerful presence
But can see the reason why
You’re leaving all of us
For just one special guy
Much happiness to you and Steve
In your brand new married life
You’ll always be our friend
After you become his wife
October 18, 1996 - Donna is leaving all of us to marry Steve Cotten
