A poem by Rae Ann Crabtree
A Christmas Angel softly spoke
To a shepherd in a field
Of prophecies and miracles
This night of nights would yield.

The glory of the Lord was bright
And lighted each of their eyes
As the Christmas Angel told them all
Where the Christ Child lies.

Suddenly there came a multitude
Of heavenly host to praise
Glory to God in the Highest
The shepherds watched all amazed.

It took them a while to comprehend
What they had heard and seen
AS Christmas Angels filled the night
To proclaim our Savior and King

Trumpets blew with heavenly song
Notes floated through the air
Peace on earth, good will to men
Was God's message everywhere.
