Adam
dear
what can we do
for Cain?
He’s so
destined
no joy, just
pain.
He won’t listen
to us
or Father above
about true
happiness
or brotherly
love.
I have prayed
for him
but it seems
his destiny
has been cut
in stone
so he must
live out
his life all
alone…
I have a new
prayer
to be blessed
with another
son.
A good son
we can raise
who will love
and will praise
our God in
Heaven,
our
hope, our reward
for living the
gospel
and loving the
Lord.
One who will
grow
strong and
upright
who will honor
us
in the Lord’s
sight.
