A poem by Rae Ann Crabtree
Noah had the knowledge
No other human guessed
So he built an ark on dry land
And waited for rest

He brought with him his offspring
Their wives and seeds to grow
And food for all the animals
And prayers for God’s rainbow.

He had lived among the wicked
Who refused to understand
The need for love and knowledge
And to follow God’s commands.

He preached unto these people
Repent!  Be kind!  Comply!
But they wouldn’t learn or listen
When told they all could die,

“From what?” they cried in laughter
“The sky is clear and blue!”
Until the day a rain dropped
Then all the wicked knew.

Its sad that plants and animals
Had to suffer right along
With the whole wicked world
That knew right from wrong.

Yes, Noah had the knowledge
He learned through prayer and grace
So he built that ark on dry land
To save the human race.
