Atomic Arena website up
[ 2:10 AM | keil

The CPL Asia event, Atomic Arena 1, has their own website now at http://www.atomicarena.com so go check it out now. It's still pretty messy with not many new details [eg: prize details] but it has listed hotel rates and a map of the venue location is available [HAVE A MAGNIFYING GLASS WITHIN REACH THOUGH, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED]. Online registration is up but it's not SSL-capable yet so you might want to wait for that if you're keen on booking a place ASAP. The page with the rules and regulations were still full of contradictions though.. here's a prime example: First, you can read ... The 128-man single elimination bracket will be used to determine the tournament's final 32, which will compete in a full double elimination bracket.
Further down the page... Free-for-all matches are on 9th June 2000 (Friday) and will run until 10th June 2000 (Saturday). Saturday will end at 11pm with 12 competitors remaining. I have no idea what's up, so go e-mail the webmasters, Daphne and Aaron, instead.

i guess what they meant was, the FFA rounds would finish on the 10th (Saturday).
After that the elims will continue until there are 12 players left, and they'd make sure that that happens by 11pm.
So in a nutshell, the FFA will end on the 10th, with some part of the elims starting until there are 12 men left standing at 11pm.Whatever.

... you don't get my point
whatever the case, there is a difference in the numbers stated regarding how many ppl will be left before the start of the final rounds

"Free-for-all matches are on 9th June 2000 (Friday) and will run until 10th June 2000 (Saturday). Saturday will end at 11pm with 12 competitors remaining."
I think the second part of the statement ("Saturday will end at 11pm with 12 competitors remaining")has nothing to do with the FFA rounds... prolly means the single elims will start after the FFA on Sat itself.
