09. FINLAND - Taytta Elamaa
Marjorie had her first professional touch with music in 1986 as a dance band singer. In 1991 she obtained her Master of Arts Diploma and since then she has devoted herself to music. She took part several times in the Finnish Selection for the Eurovision Song Contest: she was 5th in 1988 with "Tie", 7th in 1990 with "Tuuli", and in 1993 she was 4th with "Legenda" and 7th with "Aika eteenpain vain kulkee".
Marjorie has also participated with great success in several festivals around Europe, like Sweden, Romania and Turkey. In Finland she has played the leading part in the Andrew Lloyd-Webber musical Aspects of love. CD-albums she has published: Huone 213 (1992), Auringon haat (1994), Taytta elamaa (1998).
And this year Marjorie is representing Finland in the OGAESC with her "Full life", which got the first place among 7 songs in the Finnish Selection.
