Department of Computer Science

The department offers a unique combination of courses and projects that help students to cope with recent advancements of the computer industry. The lab facilities provided to the students equip them with not only the subjects with their curriculum but also with other latest software developed tools in both UNIX and WINDOWS environment.

The department offers a number of courses in the college. A four year Bachelor degree in Engineering( Computer Science and Engineering), a four year Bachelor degree in Engineering ( Information Science ) and a three years Master's degree in computer application.

Today the center has 100 terminals with a wide range of computing capabilities. The computer lab has 40 terminals in LAN running on NOVELL Netware 5.0. 30 terminals are connected to Linux server, rest of the them desktop machines which serves the purpose for projects.

The important courses offered are operating systems, OOPS, Image processing, MP, software Engg. and data communication. DBMS and Information system design. The students require proficiency in programming languages under different operating systems.
