The Department was started in the year 1962. The Department offers courses in the field of electrical machines, power systems, power electronics, control system and System Engineering. The support facilities include electrical workshops, power system laboratories. The equipments comprise of the alternators, amply dyne sets, assorted capacity DC shunt Etc., |
| The curriculum provides in depth subject knowledge while seminars and training update the students to state of the art engineering and industrial practices. The students are frequently taken for industries visits for practical exposure. The department has a separate computer center on LAN which is being used for simulation labs for the final year students. The students are also made convergent with microprocessors and Micro controller devices. |  |
