The Alphabetical Bookmark Collector (ABC) is an aid for managing your bookmarks. The ABC is aimed to work together with Internet Explorer (IE). It is operating in a very simple way. It scans your favorites directory and adds all bookmarks found together in a long list. It then presents the list in an alphabetical register. It will add bookmarks found in sub-directories too.
When choosing a bookmark for the purpose of navigating to that page, you have the option to use a feature called the "No-Click" feature. This will enable you to automatically navigate to the page by just hovering over the bookmark with your mouse. The necessary amount of "hovering-time" is adjustable.
ABC will only work together with IE. It operates as a self-supporting program and doesn't require IE to be running. It can be started before or after IE has been started. It must be started and closed as a normal program and in every sense acts like such one. It does not cooperate with any running instance of IE and no changes is made what so ever to the environment (files, directories etc) used or referenced by IE. ABC is not aware of running instances of IE and IE is not aware of ABC. When navigating from inside ABC, the program associated with .url-files will be started. So, this must be IE in order for the ABC to work properly. If you are using IE as your default browser, this will normally be the case.
