Code in Scarecrow

Some instances certainly arise within the course of posting messages in which HTML would come in very handy. HTML, however, is automatically stripped from any message you post for safety reasons. The alternative? These codes can be used in the place of HTML. The codes through the rest of the document show up in blue.

Links

Links are very useful things to be able to include in messages. You may do so by using this format:

[link]http://youraddress.com[/link]

Notice the lack of spaces between the code (in blue) and the address. The above line, inserted in your message, will produce the following:

http://youraddress.com.

Email Links

While technically the standard link code could double as email code, the output (clickable link) would be fairly hideous to look upon. Thus the email tags were developed. This line

you@address.com

Will produce this output:

you@address.com.
Bold, Italics and Underlines

Sometimes you need to emphasize something to help make it stand out. The HTML bold, italic and underline tags were devloped for this purpose. But again, all html is stripped. Use these tags instead:

For bold
For italics
For underlines

Hopefully these codes help make your experience on the message board more enjoyable. If you need help with them mail me about it and I'll be glad to help.
