Some instances certainly arise within the course of posting messages in
which HTML would come in very handy. HTML, however, is automatically
stripped from any message you post for safety reasons. The alternative?
These codes can be used in the place of HTML. The codes through the rest
of the document show up in blue.
Links
Links are very useful things to be able to include in messages. You
may do so by using this format:
[link]http://youraddress.com[/link]
Notice the lack of spaces between the code (in blue) and the address. The
above line, inserted in your message, will produce the following:
While technically the standard link code could double as email code, the
output (clickable link) would be fairly hideous to look upon. Thus the
email tags were developed. This line
Sometimes you need to emphasize something to help make it stand out. The
HTML bold, italic and underline tags were devloped for this purpose. But
again, all html is stripped. Use these tags instead:
[b]For bold[/b]
[i]For italics[/i]
[u]For underlines[/u]
